Wellman Wacoma has diversified into the manufacture of Rubber Lined Pipes, which are used in the Chemical and Metallurgical Processing Industry to carry slurry, organic solvents and other corrosive material.
Either natural or Acryonitrile (Nitrile) rubber can be used for lining the pipes but usually nitrile rubber is preferred to natural rubber, as it has better resistance to diluted acid, oil and inorganic chemicals as well as is a better rubber to metal bond and resilience. The rubber is mixed with appropriate chemicals and the pipes are then lined with this mixture.
Our engineers perform a rigorous selection of the composition and properties of the rubber, taking into account the appropriate criteria.
The lining thickness is normally 4.5 mm to 6 mm but other thicknesses can also be accommodated, depending upon the customer's requirement and usage.
Fabrication of heavy steel structures as per the requirement of the client is done by Wellman Wacoma in strict conformation to the customer's drawings.
If required, stress relieving can also be done for relieving stresses, which occur during fabrication.
Some of the equipments fabricated by Wellman Wacoma are walking beams, hearth structures, technological structures, tanks, vessels, etc.
The Tower division of WWL is registered with BSNL and provides end to end / turnkey solutions in Telecom Towers to BSNL, GTL and other large telecom companies. Wellman Wacoma Ltd undertakes the following broad activities:
1. Location Identification, Site Survey and Purchase
of Land:
The company has a dedicated team to locate and procure
suitable land for Telecom Towers, as per latitudes and
longitudes and other technical criteria provided
by the service provider.
Sites include, undeveloped land or rooftop rights. On approval of the
site by the customer, the company negotiates the
terms of lease with the owner and arranges various strategy documents from government agencies.
2. Civil Foundation:
The company undertakes civil foundation jobs for
ground based as well as roof top tower installations
as well as shelter, compound wall, security room
and DG set foundation. The company has a team of
experienced supervisors led by qualified project
managers to implement the jobs. The Company can
provide comprehensive geotechnical report to ensure
proper foundation design for towers. The company
can provide power connection, earthing work as well
as external and internal electrical work.
Installation of DG sets, stabilizers, insulation
transformers, fire alarm panels and lightening conductors
is well within our scope.
3. Manufacturing:
The Company has set up a modern factory at Panihati
on B.T. Road in Kolkata to manufacture Telecom Towers
as per customer specifications. The factory has
sufficient infrastructure to process 1000 MT of
steel per month. The Company undertakes designing,
fabrication, galvanizing and painting of towers.
The entire production is supervised by a team of
qualified engineers and is headed by a highly experienced
engineer having more than 30 years of
experience in Designing and Production of Telecom
Towers.
4. Erection & Painting:
The Company undertakes erection and painting jobs
through a group of experienced teams.
5. Supply of Shelter, DG Sets and Air Conditioners:
The company has established an excellent network
to supply DG sets, stabilizers, insulation transformers,
fire alarm panels and other allied equipment.
6. Management and Maintenance of the Infrastructure:
The company also provides post installation management
& maintenance through a team of experienced and
dedicated professionals. |
